I grew up in Chesterfield County, VA, and also began my teaching career in Chesterfield County. I graduated with my Master's Degree in teaching and taught 3rd grade for 5 years. I left the United States in 2005 with the military to join my husband in Germany. I taught 4th grade for two years at the military schools in Wiesbaden, Germany. I decided to expand my experience and teach first grade at the State International British School in Darmstadt, Germany. At the end of our 4 year stay overseas, we moved to Monterey, California where I taught 4th grade until I was offered a position as an Intervention Specialist working with ESOL students along with being an Instructional Coach for teachers.
While teaching in California, I was invited to become part of the PWCS Staff, as my husband and I were returning to the east coast. I’ve now taught within PWCS for 4 years, and I’m so excited to become a part of the Roadrunner family!
