Many families have asked about learning American Sign Language over and above the signs we teach during home visits. This page has some resources online as well as classes which are in person.
For the benefit of your child, please learn to sign. It is easiest to turn your voice off while you are learning so that you present signs for the information you want to convey. When you are used to using sign, then add the voice back into the message.
Please ask as many questions as you can of me now! It is very important to communicate with your child as they grow and your relationship develops. Communication is terribly important to their social development as well as their educational development.
