The children certainly have grown and learned a lot this year. We will continue to teach the Prince William County Standards of Learning until the end of the school year. The last day of school is June 15th and it is a half day.
June 6th- Kindergarten field trip to Lake Ridge Park. See field trip reminder letter for information.
June 13th-End of year picnic in fruit orchard 11:30-12:15. Bring a lunch for you and your child.
Here are some suggestions for continued practice of reading and writing skills during the summer:
- Read library books, participate in Summer Quest.
- Assemble a model from written directions.
- Read recipes and cook a meal.
- Play games that require reading.
- Write clues for a treasure hunt.
- Play a twenty questions game.
- Write a letter to a friend or relative.
- Look in the newspaper or magazine and learn a new word.
